Hagglemania.com understands your concerns about Internet security. The Hagglemania.com
secure software encrypts all of your personal information including credit card
number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read as the information travels
over the Internet.
All data submitted by way of our checkout form is encrypted using SSL (Secure Sockets
Layer) encryption. When you submit your order your computer and our server begin
communicating in secure mode, sending data back and forth in an encrypted format.
We then ask you for your credit card information. The encryption features of the
browser software ensure the security of this data as it is transmitted.
Your personal information is stored in a database on the Hagglemania.com web server.
A user must have login privileges on the web server (requiring a password) to be
able to access the database. No one can access your personal information without
having access to the appropriate user ID and password.Unless
you have turned the feature off, you will see this dialog informing you when you
are entering a secure connection:

You can tell when you are in secure mode also by checking the URL and by checking
the status bar at the bottom of the screen as follows:A standard, unsecured URL
address begins "http://". When you enter secure mode, the beginning of the URL address
will change to "https://"; the "s" stands for secure.
Netscape Communicator 4.0 displays a padlock, in the lower left hand corner of the
screen to indicate that you are in standard or secure mode. The padlock is open
in standard mode and closed in secure mode.
In Microsoft's Internet Explorer, you'll see a padlock symbol at the bottom of your
browser window usually on the right side.

When you see the https:// URL and the padlock you know your data is being processed
through a secure connection. |
